Roger Sauerhaft
Class of 2011
Club Golf at Michigan's founder and first president. Legend has it that he conceived of the team while in a bar in Germany. After those first couple seasons and presiding over the first individual national champion, the rest is history. After his "five years of silence" after graduation, Roger once again became a friend to the club golfers. This team would not exist were it not for Roger's beer-fueled dreams.
Tom Fleming
Class of 2013 and 2014
"Tommy Hustle" is one of the most influential players in the history of the NCCGA, not to mention this team. As a member of the 2013 national championship team, he was the first player at Michigan to cultivate a friendship with the Commish, Matt Weinberger. It is that close relationship that has helped Michigan's team remain so nationally influential.
Tom single-handedly drafted much of what would become the culture of this team: the twitter, the music (Gucci Mane, Jeezy, Versace,...), the language, and the style among many other subtle additions. He has remained involved with NextGen Golf through the City Tour and through his continued social media presence.
